Your Naturopath

I’m Imogen Field — a naturopath, mum, partner, plant lover, and the hands and heart behind The Chamomile Clinic in Hikurangi, Whangārei.

My path into naturopathy has been shaped by a deep curiosity about how our body's interact with the world around us. Before becoming a naturopath, I studied and worked in environmental health, which opened my eyes to the subtle but powerful ways our surroundings, lifestyle, and daily exposures influence wellbeing. That foundation continues to guide how I see health today, blending the ecological with the physiological, and deepening my respect for the way our bodies respond to both care and environment.

Naturopathy became a natural next step as I navigated my own health challenges, the tender chaos of raising young children, and a lifelong fascination with the healing properties of plants. Training and qualifying as a naturopath allowed me to bring these threads together in a way that felt deeply aligned, and I am now a registered member of the New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists.

I’m especially passionate about children’s health. Becoming a mother showed me just how resilient, yet sensitive, little bodies can be, and how much of a difference gentle, thoughtful support can make. I understand what it feels like to want safe, realistic guidance for your family — not perfection, just something that feels doable and supportive — because I’ve been in that place myself.

At heart, I’m someone who values simplicity, honesty, and connection. I love slow mornings, time in the garden, learning about plants (especially our beautiful native plants), and creating a calm, welcoming space for people to feel heard. Whether you’re arriving as a tired parent, a curious child, or someone quietly searching for more balance, you’ll be met with warmth, respect, and a genuine interest in your story.
